World's 4th Largest Earthquake in Photos

Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:46:23 PM Local Time, the 9.0-magnitude Tohoku earthquake, followed by tsunami waves, devastated the northeastern coast of Japan. Over tens of thousands are thought to be dead, missing, or injured. This has become the country's worst crisis since World War II. Adding to the number of challenges facing Japan in the aftermath, a nuclear emergency situation has also been declared.
